Ages 3-5 yearsThis course will develop a high comfort level in the water and a readiness to swim, and for those children who are developmentally ready, it will teach functional swim skills. Class teaches swimming through creative, fun activities in the water. Students must reach class age requirement by beginning of class.
AGES: 6 months-3 years + AdultAn instructor guides you and your child in games and activities engineered to teach respect for the water as well as how to play safely, build confidence and have fun. For those children who are developmentally ready, it will teach functional swim skills. Only one parent is permitted in the water with child due to space limitations.
Students in Starfish Swim School work toward developing the five core swimming competencies using age-appropriate learning activities. Learning is self-paced but challenging. Students work toward developing skills and progress toward achieving the benchmarks in a small group setting. This class is for the beginning to intermediate swimmer.
Designed for swimmers looking to refine and perfect technique for all four strokes while building endurance. Swimmers will be evaluated on their first day to determine which level they should be placed in. Swim Instructors will fine tune and push swimmers to build endurance and perfect the skills of freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke. This is a great choice for swimmers who want to further swim skills or prepare to join a swim team.
