Camp REC is ready to keep your child active and entertained on days when School District 34 is not in session!The Glenview Park District, in collaboration with Wesley Child Care, offers a full day of fun and enriching activities for grades K-6 on days when there is no school. Children will enjoy indoor and outdoor games, sports, arts and crafts, possible field trips to park district locations, special program activities/presentations playing with friends and much more. Lunch and snacks are provided at no extra cost. Participants may bring their own lunch if they would prefer, and must bring their own lunch if registering less than 7 days prior to the day of the program.This program follows the District 34 student non-attendance days, however children from area schools are also welcome to participate on these days if they are not in school. Registration deadline is one week prior. No refunds issued after that date.
Let the Funshine in and have your child be part of our exciting summer. Children can sign up for one week session or all 4! Each week features a different fun-in-the-sun theme, in house performer or special activity and a water day.
Your little dancer will have a blast this summer learning why dance is so much fun! The Tiny Dancer clinic combines pre-ballet, jazz, hip hop, and soft shoe, all set to music. Instructors encourage our dancers to use their imaginations through props, activities and different fun themes each week. Campers also explore dance through arts, crafts and story time.
Participants improve their basketball fundamentals, learn advanced skills, and enhance their teamwork. Dribbling, passing, rebounding, shooting and defense skills are developed. Participants are divided into groups based on age, size, and ability.
Boys and girls learn athletic fundamentals and life skills through the great game of baseball. In addition to playing daily games and spending time each day learning about sportsmanship, teamwork and respect, campers will gain confidence, improve coordination and develop an appreciation for a wide variety of games! The program curriculum includes stretching, agility training, character development and proper fundamentals.
FLAG FOOTBALLGet prepared for the fall flag football league by developing passing, pass coverage and play calling skills to be used in weekly instruction and scrimmages.

This introductory T-ball program is perfect for a child who wants to have fun, make new friends and be introduced to baseball. Participants enjoy learning the skills needed to play baseball including offense and defense, as well as the rules and philosophies of the game. The program stresses teamwork over competition. All you need to bring is a glove!

Players will learn team defense (cut-offs and relays, rundowns, bunt defense), situational strategies, finer points of hitting demonstraÂtions and drills. Focus will be on personal improvement along with fun through games, contests and other activities designed to foster enthusiasm, encourage teamwork and promote sportsmanship.
Children are introduced to the fundamentals of sports including basketball, floor hockey, football, kickball, soccer, t-ball and other sports and group games. The program provides an opportunity for each child to develop motor skills and nurture his/her growth socially and emotionally through teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Wrap up your summer with baseball fun! Sign up for one or two weeks of IBA’s Extra Innings Summer Baseball Camp. Players will improve their skills by revisiting fundamentals with new and chalÂlenging drills. We’ll also be playing plenty of daily baseball games!

Coaches will use age-appropriate activities and games specifically designed to increase balance, body awareness, motor skills, hand eye coordination, listening skills and the ability to follow directions.
The Glenview Park District is pleased to partner with Glenbrook South High School coaches for the Boys Lacrosse Clinic. By instilling a good work ethic, teaching sportsmanship, fostering teamwork and praising accomplishment, the Lacrosse program is committed to developing players to their highest potential, both on and off the field. Participants are divided by skill level and they will learn age-appropriate skills. Beginners will learn fundamentals such as catching, throwing and shooting, as well as basic terminology of the sport. Experienced players will build upon fundamental skills by working on situational play, competitions and game situations. All participants receive a T-shirt. Required Equipment (hockey equipment may be used): (1) helmet, (2) gloves, (3) elbow pads, (4) shoulder pads, (5) lacrosse stick, (6) jock-strap/athletic cup, (7) mouth guard, (8) athletic cleats.

Convenient morning (drop off between 7-8:30 am) and afternoon (pick up between 3:30-6 pm) child care service for Camp Funview and Summer Explorers! Campers must be registered by June 1.
Spend your summer gaining valuable work experience, developing new skills, exploring future career possibilities, working as a team and having fun! Each CIT will help implement activities and projects under the supervision of the Camp Directors. CITs will accompany their camp during outings and field trips. CIT candidates must successfully complete the four-week Saturday morning training course including CPR certification at Park Center and be able to commit to the camp session they are placed in.TO REGISTER: Submit a completed Camp Registration Form along with (1) a letter of recommendation from a non-family member; and (2) a paragraph that answers the question "What do you hope to gain from the Counselor in Training program?" in 300 words or less. A separate camp assignment fee will be required for camp once CITs are assigned. Placement is for full day camps only. In order to be a CIT in a full day camp a separate fee will apply of $1720. Payment information for placement will be communicated to parents once CIT placements are made after the training session.

We are excited to announce that the summer musical production is going to be Disney's Camp Rock. Join Skyline Studios and discover the magic of performing on stage in a musical! Our young actors will spend the day rehearsing the show, which will include acting, singing and dancing. Participating in GCT nurtures creativity while building confidence, positive body image, teamwork and a sense of accomplishment.

The Grove is the ideal place for your little naturalist to learn all about birds, insects, mammals, trees, flowers and more. We'll visit with turtles, take hikes in the woods, and discover animal tracks in the dirt. Staff presents a different theme each week. Have you ever gone on a nature hunt or held a snake? Experience nature first hand and discover all The Grove has to offer! Each day has a different theme that campers will explore with games, crafts and stories.
Make the transition from the lesson tee to the first tee easy! Geared towards the experienced junior golfer, this camp gives your child the opportunity to play 9 holes of golf every day with an instructor who will be emphasizing course etiquette, rules, score keeping, pace of play, and course strategies. Juniors attending this camp must have their own equipment and have at least one year of experience, completed one week of Summer Swing Golf Camp, or completed Holes 1 through 5 of Glenview Junior Golf Academy.
The roosters are crowing and you know what that means. Time to get to work! Campers will perform daily chores and learn specialized skills during this fun-filled farming camp. We'll tend the farm's livestock, get our hands in the dirt gardening, and have fun playing games and doing crafts. Staff-to-camper ratio is 1:7.
Take a step back in time and explore life on a 1920s farm! Campers will spend time in the Wagner farmhouse cooking on a wood-burning stove, playing games from the past, and helping out with domestic chores. History comes alive in this immersive camp.
Campers who are registered for both the All In A Day’s Work camp and Camp Yesteryear have the option of staying on the farm between camps. Campers must bring their own lunches.
Are you a budding, little farmer just waiting to learn about animals and crops? This camp is for you! Each week campers will focus on a different animal and spend the morning doing chores, crafts, and other fun camp activities. Staff child ratio is 1:7.
Stay cool this summer at Camp Ice Cool where you can improve your skating skills, meet new friends, take part in fun camp activities. Spend part of the day brushing up on your skating technique and enjoy a variety of other activities including dance, outdoor recreation, swimming, arts and crafts, and field trips. Campers also have some down time to eat lunch together, enjoy a movie and just chill.
Here is the perfect camp for beginning junior golfers. Campers are introduced to all of the key areas of the game including putting, chipping and the full swing through fun, golf-specific games and activities. Fundamentals are emphasized so that all campers develop a solid platform to build on. Each Friday we apply our newly acquired skills with a variety of contests. Followed by a pizza party to conclude the week. 6:1 camper to teacher ratio.
Making friends, working together and learning to play the exhilarating, fast-paced sport of paddle tennis is what this camp is all about! Junior Paddle Camp provides a combination of outdoor exercise, concentration, athleticism, and fun. The first hour focuses on basic fundamentals, score keeping and positioning. Campers play games and matches during the last half hour.
Morning Tennis Camp is for beginner to intermediate players. Players will be using an age appropriate ball and court (Red 5-8 year-olds,Orange 9 -10 year-olds, Green 11-14 year-olds beginner to intermediate players). Competitive Tennis Training Camp is for intermediate toadvanced level players ages 11-14 with a regular Yellow tennis ball.
