4041001 - Pre-Ballet with Ms. Rio

Students learn the basics of dance classroom etiquette while simultaneously enjoying themselves through balletic creativity. Class includes repetition through musical memory, artistic expression and storytelling through movement. Must be 3 years old by 9/1/23.

Students learn to stand with poise, perform movement to defined musical phrases, and become aware of one’s spatial relationship to others. Class includes floor work, center standing, and across-the-floor movements.

Students begin working with the ballet barre in order to emphasize technique in posture, turnout, and length of limbs, in addition to center work. Class includes barre, stretching, and center movements in various patterns.
