Comment(s): The Basic Skills are the fundamentals of the sport. These six levels introduce the fundamental moves: forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, turns and Mohawks. Upon completion of all six levels, skaters will have the basic knowledge of the sport enabling them to advance to the more specialized areas of skating.

For skaters who have successfully completed the Basic 3 level class. Instructor approval required.
Skills learned: Forward crossovers, 3 turns, backward stroking, fwd edges on a circle

Children must successfully complete prior level class before advancing to the next level.
The Skating Director and instructional staff will evaluate skaters as to the level they may skate. Please be aware that your child may not automatically advance to the next level after one session.
